South Africa is a quite interesting country with a beautiful nature and many extremes. On one hand there are lovely cities like Cape Town with a great surrounding of mountains and wine yards but just 10 minutes outside of the city you will see the big Townships close to the highway. You defiantly should explore these fascinating country and enclose you will get an idea of our trip around the cape.

On the first afternoon after we arrived at our Backpacker "The Backpack and Africa Travel Center in New Church Street" we went to the gorges Hotel Mount Nelson and enjoyed there the delicious afternoon tea - it's defiantly a must if you are in Capetown! From there we walked around the city and got our first impressions. For dinner we went to The Africa Café and tried our first Springbock and Ostriches meals, which have been quite nice.

On the second day we headed towards the cape passing the False Bay with a longer stop for a walk from St. James to Muizenberg and a lunch brake in Simonstown. Short after Simonstown at The Boulders we went down to the beach and did some rock climbing to see the penguins there. It was so cute to watch them and the tourists as well, as they tried to make pictures of them.

The final destination for this day was the cape region. We took the cable car up to the lighthouse at the cape point and it was really windy, so we went quickly back down the stairs and drove to the cape of good hope where we just stopped for some photograph's. Unfortunately, the Chapman's Peak Drive was closed, so we had to go back on the same way to our dinner place, a great restaurant close to the Sunset Beach.

At the third day we drove to Hermanus, passed the big townships on the way and have been quite lucky as we saw a couple of wales just in front of the cost. On the way back we followed the lovely cost side to Strand and further back to our backpackers where we had to get ready for our flight to J'burg.
