This morning we joined a tour to the Cerro Chacaltaya with 5.395m. At first we drove through La Paz up to El Alto to a nice Mirador for great views over the La Paz valley. From there we headed toward the Cerro Chacaltaya on a really bumpy road up to more as 5.000m to the hut of the local ski club. There we had to pay a fee of 20 BS to climb up to the summit but it was worth the money! The views up there to the Huayna Potosi and the Nevado Illimani have been breathtaking.
On the way back we just jumped out at the Iglesia San Francisco, because we already have been at the Valley de la Luna last week - the end of this tour we took.
