It was a hard race. Before the start at 10 o'clock we had temperatures around 3-5°C and I was actually not sure if it would be a good idea to go for this event. But after I've changed my clothes two times I decided to go for it with a long running pant and a T-Shirt.
The first part until La Tour-de-Peilz was quite easy and relaxing and I have been able to enjoy the lovely landscape beside the trail. During the run I've met a guy from France and the funny thing was - he grows up around Stuttgart, too.
From KM 35 I had to pay the bill for the lazy training during the last weeks and it got worser and worser that I had to walk almost 2 KM to get rid of the cramp in my legs. But after all that pain, the long distance in the cold and with a lot of headwind I clenched my teeth and from KM 40 I run until the finish line in 4:10:01.
