Today on Thursday, June 6, we drove with the local bus from Puno in Peru to Copacabana on the Titicaca Lake in Bolivia. It was quite easy to get over the border just with some paperwork and around 12:30pm we arrived at Copacabana. The rest of the day we walked around, visited the cathedral of Copacabana with it's holy Camarin de la Virgin de Candelaria and tried to find out over the internet how we will be able to get to the city of Uyuni in the south of Bolivia for our next big experience the Salar de Uyuni.

Friday, June 6 we went by a local "power boat" 2h to the lovely Isla del Sol and started our 3,5 hour hike in the north at Cha'llapampa and walked through a beautiful and magnificent landscape to the south. We passed the small ruins of Chincana and walked in an altitude of more than 4.000m towards Yumani where the power boat left at 3:30pm back to Copacabana. The walk was one of the highlights of this trip until now and I really have to recommend it to everyone, even if we had to pay a track fee of 30 Bs.

At the sunset we went up the hill of Copacabana and enjoyed our good bye from Copacabana and tomorrow we will start to La Paz and then we will see what the next stop will be - Salar de Uyuni or the Lauca Nationalpark in the north of Chile.
