This great long skitouring weekend started at 11 AM on Thursday morning at the ground station of the Vermuthbahn in Partenen / Montafon. From there we get up the Silvretta Lake / Bieler Höhe (2.032 m) by cable car and finally to the lake by crazy driven minibus through the tunnel system of the mountain. From the bus stop we walk over the frozen lake up the Ochsental to the Wiesbadener Hütte (2.443 m).

Our goal for Friday was the Piz Buin with 3.312 m the highest mountain around this area of the Silvretta mountains. We started at 7 AM and easily walked up the summit which we reached around 11 AM. We have been lucky, because at the moment we went up to the summit it was not so crowded up there and the sun came out and we could enjoy a really nice view. From the Piz Buin we went over the Egghorn Scharte (3.082 m) strait to the Silvrettahütte (2.341 m) where we stayed for the next two nights.

On Saturday we climbed up the Gletscherschamm (3.173 m) and Verstanclator (2.938 m) on beautiful shiny day and on the way back to the hut we did some crevasse rescue training. On the final day we went up to the Schneeglocke (3.222 m) but on the way up we had to cope the Rote Furka, a really steep gap to get up to the Klostertal glacier and from there we went easily up to the summit.
